my sister was a weeb when she was a teenager (from about 13-16) and i'm 4 years younger than her and it was an odd time...i knew bits and pieces of so many anime openings because of her, but i was never that interested in it in general. i liked a few of the anime/manga stuff she had, but was mostly weirded out by her cosplaying and creation of naruto AMVs

no but actually weeaboos are like otakus but generally worse. like those teenage yaoi fangirls that wear naruto headbands in public? those are weeaboos. they're actually not nearly as widespread nowadays as they were when i was first using the internet actively, but they're still around.
