I was on student council in HS, and we organized a pep rally. We invited a bunch of organizations and such to provide free food and activities, one of which being Garden State Equality. My friend was helping run their booth, and she gave me a free shirt. Fast forward 2 years, and I'm home from college. My mom is going through my closet to get rid of old clothes, and she finds the GSE shirt ask asks me if I'm gay. I just started laughing and told her I have a boyfriend, then showed her photos, and she was so excited and forced me to bring him home the next weekend. She told my dad, who apparently was like, "Ok, what's for dinner?".
