They are Christians. The main rules for Christians are those of the Great Commandment:
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
One of the main reasons I left the Church is because people respect the Apostles' words more than Jesus' himself.

Yes but fact remains that The Bible calls homosexuality an abomination (or taboo, whatever makes you feel better about your faith) and condemns all homosexuals. I sometimes wonder just how many people have suffered through their entire life just because of that single sentence, that "word of God", making people think they're not worthy of God's love or what not. Wake the **** up.

What you're saying doesn't even make sense. The "literal word" (singular) can not have various inscriptions (plural). Many of the chapters of the bible were actually named after the writers who were, newsflash, not God himself.
Additionally not everyone accepts the word of Paul. Which is why there are countless Christian denominations. Your argument is very simplistic and shallow.

God, if he exists, could be love and mercy. Hard to believe so considering all that's happening in the world as he just lets it slide past his all-seeing eyes.Christianity, Islam and other similar religions, however, are what's the core of humanity's misfortune and evil. I have nothing against theists, I have a lot against religions (or at least those that promote discrimination, hatred, division and whatever else, like Christianity and Islam).

Another thing that bothers me is, if God exists and is omnipotent, then he can see the future, right? If he can see the future, that means that he already knows who's going to hell and who's going to heaven. That means that he has created some souls for which he certainly knows are going to hell. So some people are destined to go to hell before they're even born?! To be clear, this is hell we're talking about, so people are predestined by God to burn in hell and suffer for all eternity. So even if God gave you this so called free will, he still knows what you're going to do and he still won't forgive you because he's already decided your soul goes to hell. Isn't that sadistic as ****?

doesn't the bible also say something along the lines of you're not supposed to eat meat (I know the quran says this as well)? I was raised in a Christian family and I can fairly say that every Christian I met has contradicted something said in the bible, whether they knew it or not. The bible is so rigid and absolute that no modern-day Christian would put himself through that sort of torture trying to abide by every rule written in that novel.

Yes people have suffered. Because of religion. Because of greed. Because of countless things. But you're looking for a scapegoat. That's really what your argument boils down to. I'm gonna leave you to it, because we're going in circles here. I guess the point I wanted to make initially is that you cannot speak for others. Only yourself. God is love. God loves everyone. God loves you. God even loves Azealia. Practice love not hate.

It's like one of the most frustrating things. A lot of Christians refuse to examine the Bible and the books in their proper contexts. They take everything so literally. 
One of the most honest things a church can do is carve out a portion of time in church to share the history of the Bibles creation. But I guess that might undermine its authority over people's lives. It benefits them to have people thinking God hand delivered it down from heaven in its current form himself. Never mind the cultural biases, translations, and countless interpretations.

You are free to show your views on God , Religion etc on ATRL but please at least show some respect for the guy who died and take your off topic rants to another thread.
