8/10 for the latest set. I thought I was the only one late on the Decode loving but nice to see I'm not.

Reeces' Best Of '09: Top 50 Singles (50-48)
50. P!nk "Sober"
"No pain inside, you're like perfection, but how do I feel this good sober?"
Unlike the previous single 'So What', 'Sober' doesn't have that catchy factor, but it's an incredibly well written track that P!nk delivers with a huge amount of emotion, it's like she is telling you a personal story with the lyrics. The song can be interpreted in many different ways, but I like to think is about being addicted to something or someone and trying to find a way out. Her vocals are strong and consistent, and like I said earlier full of emotion and passion, it reaches a beautiful and vulnerable tone when she reaches the bridge. Now how can you write about 'Sober', without mentioning that crazy visual, which is arguably one of the best videos of the year; making out with yourself? Come on. There is more P!nk coming soon, but this track definitely deserved a place inside the top fifty.
49. Brandy "Long Distance"
"All I have is this picture in a frame, that I hold close to see your face everyday"
Human is a truly underrated album, and 'Long Distance' was destined to be ignored as well, people don't appreciate Brandy's music like they should. This song discusses one of the many obstacles that a relationship face, although I've heard her talk in interviews saying that the song is about her daughter, but she is problably just trying to avoid any questions related to her romantic life, who knows? A touch of agony can be felt in the track as she expresses how she wishes her lover understands how difficult is the separation for her. Vocally, Brandy delivers as usual, and while the video is simple, it definitely gets the point across. I'm currently in love with Bran'Nu in Timbaland's new album, but it would be nice to hear slow ballads like this one in her next project, either way I hope she gets the recognition she deserves this year.
48. Lady GaGa "Paparazzi"
"I'm your biggest fan, I'll folow you until you love me, papa-paparazzi"
How can you make a 'best of the year' chart, without having at least one GaGa song among your favorites? It's almost a crime. I fell in love with this track when 'The Fame' leaked last year, I was almost addicted to it, but I started getting tired of it when it got released as a single, I guess I played it too much. First off all, the mindblowing video alone takes the song to another level entirely; it's visually perfect and the 'I'll do anything for fame' plot is very creative. The lyrics are clever and interesting as she uses lines about the weird relationship between a celebrity and a photographer, to describe her feelings for a loved one. Not only that, but just like almost every other GaGa song, it has an infectious chorus that will more than likely stay around for a few hours, if not days. Lady GaGa is a hit machine, and at this point nothing will stop her, this is just one of the many great songs she has delivered this year.

Paparazzi I agree, how can you make a best of the year chart without having a Gaga song in it.

3/3. Sober and Paparazzi are amazing, I think they're too low here, especially GaGa.
