Katy Perry - 'My Blood Your Jewels'
Quote:
Her new album, “My Blood, Your Jewels” is set to be officially released in May, 2016 and I need to turn in my studded leather jacket because I actually really liked it, much like Katy and that girl she snogged. The entire album has a sort of Blackened Power Metal feel about it, especially in the track “Kisses for the Serpent” which has a three minute long guitar solo, supposedly played by Perry herself.
The next track, “Stabbed a Goat” is more of the classic Katy Perry's bubbly Pop hit with a little old-school Goth added into the mix. The lyrics are a bit strange, most of it is Perry shouting in a raspy monotone voice about various voices calling her into “the void”. The song ends with her laughing and screaming the title of the track, adding “I stabbed a goat and I ate it, I got the mark of the beast just to make my parents hate it”. Think about if Alien Sex Friend was “radio friendly” and you get the idea.
