The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 37000 block of BCIS Drive.
According to the APD, 36-year-old Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn went to the home of his ex-fiance to see his children while they were being cared for by a relative. Police said he took the boy and tried to flee the scene but not before Ciara arrived in time to be physically assaulted by the rap star. Police tell us the singer was pushed to the ground and struck her head after putting the father of the child in a chokehold.
The father of the singer who was also present when the event occurred provided documentation showing that she had been granted sole custody of the child, according to the APD.
Police said they contacted DeMun on the phone and she told them he was out of town and was not returning. This lead to a short high speed chase in which the rapper managed to outrun the police an his current whereabouts are unknown.
The mother told police that Future had not been a threat to the child or herself since the custody judgment. She came to the conclusion that the father of the child had become disgruntled at her after she became engaged to footballer Russell Wilson.
