Is it just me or the Japanese comics has been flopping on its quality especially on the storytelling side?
Honestly speaking, if it's not generic, it's drawn out, uninspired or both. If not for Queen Haikyuu holding the fort, I wouldn't be reading anything. I still try to read or get hooked into some but an abundance clearly doesn't mean the best if you're finding it hard to invest on a manga that is not your cup of tea.
I feel like Manhwa(Korean Comics) is Snatching my wig more and more. Been reading "Bastard" and there is an obvious gap in storytelling. It's not stereotypical and it's not black and white. Which leads us to manga's stand still innovation.
I really wish the mangakas turn back the hands of time. I guess the population declining is also showing on the manga industry, there is just no new upcoming kids to target to and new concepts being swept under the rug because the demographics are still the same.
Yes I thought I was the only one. I stopped reading mangas/watching anime since like 2 years ago. The last one that I watched was Shingeki no Kyojin. The older mangas were much superior.
King Gintama will save the industry (quality-wise only 'cause its sales are **** )
One Piece is actually interesting right now with all the reveals and stuff.
