Yeah, she's an antiquated flop when the good sis Madonna even changed her accent which is the epitome of reinvention. SO yep, I agree, the flop, fake singer Rihanna truly needs to retire because singing is not her forte tbh. Please close thread.
Rihanna is statistically similar to Madonna (lots of memorable hits, sales, etc) but I still see them as very different artists. Madonna was innovative from the get go while Rihanna is just expanding herself artistically. Madonna was also a lot more involved in her artistry.
No one is going to come close to the level of re-invention and impact Madonna has reached.
First,I hate this "someone is thenew someone". It's pathetic ,there's no such thing.
That said,I love Rihanna and her songs (most of them,at least).
But,she's nowhere near Madonna ,artistically speaking.
Her Work video ,alone,is a statement to what I'm saying. It's cringy at best! Before any.of you throw me stones,Madonna has her cringy moments as well (GMAYL anyone?!).
But,if you look at her career closely,video to video,album to album,video to video,tour to tour, performance to performance,man .... you're setting yourself up to an amazing journey.
People talk about "Reinventions" loosely as if it's something ordinary ,it has become common place . What Madonna did, goes far beyond that !
She defied everything ,including her own mainstream career .
For an artist of her caliber to do everything she has done (especially being a female ) is something really unmatchable. ... for anyone !
So,no ! Rihanna isn't "the new Madonna".
