Isn't she around 50M AirPlay? Let's say the the video gets 10M US streams first week and goes up to around 70K sales I guess? Where would that land her?
It would be top 10 with those numbers, but 10 million streams is way too high.
Bad Blood had 18.1 million first week US streams, but every single since then (and Style before) had way less than 10 million. Think 5 million is a very optimistic estimate (that is what Wildest Dreams roughly had) that would put her top 30, maybe top 20.
New Romantics and the non stop red updates on itunes
It is done already. Too bad she didn't release a video when the song could've smashed.
Has gotten 2 dark greens since you wrote this
Apparently people weren't here for it on easter, but it seems to get back now. Also nobody should be worried about it's iTunes performance. That's more than fine. Hopefully it can rebound on radio.
I love 1989 but I hope she leaves the bubblegum sound behind. It was right for this era and it was cool she experimented with it on Red but I think she should go down the more serious pop route. The success of IKYWT and Wildest Dreams shows she can still write mature pop songs and smash. I hope she manages to score a hit without Max too

I want a more organic instrumental rather than glossy synths.
It's strange to think every hit from her since 2012 has been from MM. Don't want her to become too dependent on him, especially considering his recent work.

She's gonna be the next Katy, where every song that's a hit is by the same producer
I really don't want that for her. Because we know she's so much better than that. I know you found a lot of success with him, Tay, but please move on to bigger and better things
She got Max his long awaited Grammy. I have no doubt she'll still work with him for one of two songs, but I'm willing to bet the majority of the next album will be with new producers. And probably Jack.
Welcome To New York, Blank Space, All You Had To Do Was Stay, Bad Song, How You Get The Girl, I Know Places, Clean, New Romantics and Wonderland all have very formulaic productions. She needs variation.
So get rid of MM, Shellback, Ryan Tedder and whats-her-name-?
