Me and my family are thinking of going on holiday in turkey for the summer? With all the media reports, is it safe to go?

It's as safe as anywhere else in Europe right now. You should be fine.

I would say it is safe. I would advice you rather spend time at hotel on the beach than in the city centre but I can't really remember a terrorist attack in Antalya.

Don't live in fear (that's like being dead already) it can happen in every country. That's the only thing I can say.

When are you planning to go there? It is so hot anyway I was there twice and I hardly ever left the hotel/beach, since it is climated at hotel and well no need to explain for the beach

Well the majority of Cruises cancelled Turkey and add more Greek destinations..check other destinations in the area like Cyprus or Greece..These countries aren't really in danger of ISIS..They want to hit more power countries

No, it's not.

It´s obviously save in the resorts next to the coast. Kemer/Belek/Side/Lara have flawless hotels, I´ve been there 9 times already.
Best time period would be June//September, it´s sooo hot in August/July! Enjoy!

Lol, of course it is. And if you stay in a smaller town like Kemer you can wander around as much as you like. I grew up there, noone bothers with it, it's serene and beautiful but hot!!!

Antalya should be fine. Istanbul and Ankara are not so much though.

Literally no Out of all the places you could go, why go somewhere where the chance of being killed is high.

I would say NO. ISIS killed 16 tourist in Istanbul for being non-muslim. So, we will probably see some bombing at Antalya this summer.

This is literally how anyone in Europe has holiday. They just go somewhere hot and chill at hotel all the time with all inclusive.

Back when there was turmoil, social unrest,... in the Middle East, life inside the tourist resorts stayed chill as usual.
That's a market in tourism: sunny destination, chilling on the beach, partying on cheap booze,... and it snowy counterpart has the similar quantity of booze in the mountains.

I'm going to Istanbul in August.. fingers crossed we both make it back
