I don't need to The player numbers speak for themselves (more people playing than Sims 3).
I just state it how it is. Sims 3 had front loaded sales and player stats that made it seem bigger than it was.

The Sims 4 stats eclipse The Sims 3 stats, despite the Sims 3 having a bigger launch.
Sure, the base game was lackluster. That was over a year ago.

The more you play The Sims 3, the laggier your saved game gets until it eventually crashes when loading, or crashes trying to save.

The issue also happened on console but they fixed it. They didn't fix it for PC.
Which is the reason why the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Pets have much better user scores than The Sims 3 on PC. EA have chosen to ignore the issue for PC. Probably because it's too hard.

As you can see, she was responsible for the really horrible SimCity game and of course, The Sims 4's launch. Which were both rushed out with half the features missing.

When she left, the first thing that happened was the upcoming Expansion for Sims 4 was delayed. And the Stuff Packs stopped being spit out every month etc.

The new head was originally head of The Sims 4, and was pushing for a delay which they didn't get.

The Sims 3 (and Sims Medieval) are only supported up to Windows 7.
And the last video card The Sims 3 supports is from 2012.

This is the issue both the console games and PC/Mac games have. It causes the game to run slow, save slow and crash while saving.

If that doesn't work, not much you can do. EA admits the game has the bug, but only fixed it for PS3/Xbox 360.
Which funnily enough, was because PC players didn't protest and console players did.
Which is why I stopped bothering and started playing Sims 3 Pets on PS3. You still get access to The Sims 3 store, which has enough gameplay for me.

And mods don't really have much to do with it, the game does this on its own. The Sims 3 suffers terribly with any kind of add ons.

EA's solution was to patch the game so you pick and choose (they reccomend 2 packs max) before you open the game. It was mess.

You can uninstall and reinstall but the same problem will come back.
My game actually drops to 1 fps sometimes that how awful it is.

My solution was ditch the game on PC. I went to PS3 with the Sims 3 Pets and never went back.

So is anyone still playing and enjoying Sims 4? I downloaded it in October 2014 and had a blast with it for a while but as new patches came along the game couldn't be played anymore since it was illegal and the game was running quite slow on my old laptop. I completely forgot about it and haven't played in over a year.

I just got back into The Sims 2 today (I've been playing it since 2006 mess) and wasted the entire day on a family and I'm addicted again. I have so many mods and I'm still not bored of the animation or the graphics or options. BUUUUT I want to make some new modern houses easily and try the gameplay again now it's been out over a year. It's only £23 on Amazon, is the base game at least worth getting for that price? I can overlook the flaws I just need to play a more modern version of Sims for a while.

I swear I wasn't even trying. When I first opened CAS, one of the premade sims showed up (the fat guy with a beard and a cap), and when I switched his gender I noticed the resemblance
