Was a horrible year. It was my last year of high school, I was stressed out about getting into University and I got kicked out of my friend group so had no friends for half of the year. Lost a lot of self confidence because of how I was treated by other people.
Was a good year as I started Uni, made a lot of new friends.
Was a non-eventful year. I feel quite depressed and numb for most of the year, was completely stressed out with Uni/getting into my third year major.
Was the year that I started going to the gym, had my first boyfriends, went on a lot of dates. Was basically the year I started to get out of my shell and to push myself and do things I wouldn't usually do. Made a lot of new friends.
Was kind of like last year in that I pushed myself by doing completely new things, made a lot of new friends, started my master's degree etc. Although, last year I barely dated at all. I 'took the year off' to focus on myself and making me happy. Was a massive year in terms of self-growth and self-actualisation as a lot of the new people I met made me confront things about myself that I had ignored.
Has been the busiest year of my life and I'm loving it. Have a boyfriend, a good group of friends, finishing off my master's thesis, started teaching first years at Uni, and am running two uni clubs. Has also been a year of learning and self-realisation as well.
Overall, so far it's been a decade of a lot of self-learning. The 2010s have treated me (or should I say, I've treated myself) better than the 2000s.
