Sony tried to snatch the SF series for themselves, leaving the XB1 with no high profile fighting game, but backfired hard on them.
-The game has sold 500k copies, Capcom/Sony expected to sell 2M by the end of this month
-Let's remember that CAPCOM would have released a full version, accurately priced SFV in a couple of years, if not for SONY that funded the game, and forced capcom to release before the end of the fiscal year
-Sony's terrible serves are also a huge part of the complaints the game's been getting for its unstable online
So was Sony to blame for SF x Tekken which basically resembles this very same situation that SFV is in?
SFxT sold 2M, which is more than what the latest Tekken, the latest Soul Calibur, the latest King of Fighters, the latest Virtua Fighter, the latest Blazblue, Skullgirls, the latest Guilry Gear and PS All Stars Battle Royale sold, so idk why you're trying it
SF has always been hit and miss due to poor business decisions.
And Sony has been quite happy for every other game studio to take their time despite Sony wanting more games within the first year initially, none of the games were rushed to make that happen.
Sony wanted the game to come out before the end of fiscal 2016, but they've never forced that to happen.
Also, CAPCOM chose to sign on with Sony because of how Sony would accommodate the devs, so the idea they are the reason seems a mess.
If Sony made Capcom release the game prematurely before the developers could add in all the content that'd entice the casual audience, then yes, they are to blame.
I ain't gonna pay like $90 AUD for such a barebones release.
