Cause this city is my city
And I love it, yeah I love it
I was born and raised here
I got it made here
And if I have my way, I'm gonna stay here
For life
Then Lupe Fiasco appears out of nowhere with a social message:
Now what if I told you my city was the best
And my city was a threat to the rest
But you can't rest inside my city
My city's so cold if you ain't dressed
And what they accept, better had a right address
Parts of my city, certain colors can't step
And sadly I'm talking about the color of your skin
Sorry my brother, I can't let you in
Cause the property value might go down to a level that's
Economically unacceptable and socially taboo for us to live around you
Uh, uh, is this what it's down to?
Root for the same team, maybe had the same dream
Not the same reality,
Actually, mines is a bad education and gentrification
Despite all the above I love...
And then Patrick Stump is like "lol no comment" and just sings:
Cause this city is my city
And I love it, yeah I love it
I was born and raised here
I got it made here
And if I have my way, I'm gonna stay here
For life
went to target for the first time in 5 years and it was kinda crap. all the aisles were torn apart, like people literally just threw the **** on the floor and didn't bother picking it up. why are people such animals
people always talk about how much they love target but I just don't get it. maybe it's just the one in my town but it was messy and didn't have a lot of stuff
hobo we're talking about target did you ever go when they were in canada. were they super floppy
so the Target we had closest by got built where this other Canadian store used to be which was like an expensive Walmart but no one went because duh just go to Walmart
and my city is pretty close to the border so everyone knows how great Target is so we were salivating at the thought of us having our own one
it opened and it SUCKED. it was basically the other store we had - an expensive Walmart - without any of the cool American brands and everything was always 95% sold out
