Why some people feel the need to be loved and cared for by their idols. It's a stupid recent concept popularized by Gaga. They really shouldn't. And if they do, it's probably fake. Madonna is being honest how she feels about her fans: you don't need to be loving to strangers (often weird ones) who idolize you. You can just be indifferent. No one is getting hurt in the process.
Gaga fooled you all for her personal gains and in the process created this mentally unstable fanbase of outcasts who need to be loved (obviously this does not apply to everyone, but the patterns are there). You are all too involved and attached to her like she's family, or worse, the only person that matters.
Just enjoy the music (it's pretty hard at the moment with the material she's been releasing in the last few years i know, but still).
