they def won't defeat ISIS anytime soon but they'll continue to take back territory and cut off their funding and thus diminish their efforts to recruit...the main issue now is their external operations, primarily across Europe where you have these home grown terrorist and jihadist extremist terrorist cells executing deadly attacks...that will keep ISIS very much relevant for a while
