Nathan Sykes: Union J won't work without George Shelley!
Quote:
Union J have yet to announce who will join them after telling fans that they will replace George Shelley following his departure, but one former boyband star has described the move as "odd" and "strange".
Nathan Sykes - who rose to fame as one fifth of The Wanted - has weighed in on the situation by saying that the decision "wasn't the wisest idea".
"I don't think it'll work," Sykes told Digital Spy while on tour with Little Mix in Cardiff. "George was a really strong part of the band. "When a band has a lot of success with a certain amount of members, to suddenly introduce another is just a bit strange. "On an artist front - as a band - I just think it'll be a bit odd. It'll be strange for the fans as well - I feel sorry for them. "But hey, I hope it goes well for them. I'm very glad that George is doing so well at the moment, and I'm obviously very proud of him. "I think all the boys are talented in their own right, but to replace George probably wasn't the wisest idea."
I really wanna see who will they replace George with, thats kinda hard to imagine. He was the heart of the band & the reason they went tru the XF and pretty much everything after that.
Still excited for their new projects tho.
