Should the term genocide apply sexual minorities too?

I believe he asking if the way LGBT individuals are already being treated in some countries should be considered genocide, which is one of the worst forms of crimes against humanity.
Historically, many counties have have gone to war to prevent or stop ongoing genocides (WW2), but not much is going on when gays are being put to death in other countries.

You have a point. But then again, when members of the LGBT community are targeted in an effort to exterminate these people then it should be considered as genocide as well considering the definition.

I understand your point of view. I wasn't trying to make light of violence against LGBT people. Essentially, any attempted extermination of the LGBT community is on par with genocide as far as abhorrent crimes go. My point was, it just wouldn't have the same end result as genocide against any other group, because being LGBT isn't an inheritable trait.
