If you're using all fairness then why does the actions of some have to affect someone else’s statement? Unless it was Rusty saying that yesterday, and then changing today, the point you’re trying to make doesn’t actually negate what was said.

But certainly no Gaga stan should downplay Britney’s Vanguard Award, she clearly deserved that.

Gaga has the more interesting and better videography. Especially considering she has put out HALF the amount of pop albums as Rihanna, she has A LOT more to showcase.

Mtv awards shouldn't be given this much consideration seeing that certain artists with great videographies (like Janet and Michael) never even won a VOTY.
Moreover, the VMAs are fan voted and thus there's no difference between a person who likes a certain video replaying it and a fan voting for a video they like.

I can easily assure you the reason why the Gaga stans didn't run in here using video streams is because Rihanna unlike Britney wins in that department and yes they were downplaying the Vanguard saying those awards can be bought

Because at the very least, there was indeed a poll asking people to name what they think is the best video. Even if some fans overdo it, there is still a clear purpose for what the results are meant to mean. A music video's streaming views can be attributed to many things: someone liking the video, the song, wanting to hear the song for the first time, accidentally clicking, autoplay, looking for a specific song you don't remember the name of, etc. etc.

I actually prefer when Video Awards were voted by industry professionals as oppose to the fans the old VMA's prior to 2007 were like that and look what happen when they became fan voted

I totally agree with you, I just mean that even a fan voted award, while it can be overtaken by large fanbases, is still an award open to the public to say which was the best video, whereas YouTube views has too many other factors to say with certainty that those people were there because of the video quality itself.

Otherwise we'd say that a video like Bieber's Baby is one of the best videos ever created.

Not really, Bad Romance got plenty of gongs, but most of Rihanna's in this list are WFL so it balances out. If we take away features, Gaga loses a BET award (equalling Rih's zero) and Rih loses a VMA (dropping to 3 compared to Gaga's 13). It's not close critically in terms of awards, Gaga's is the favored videography.
