I saw a video yesterday about this by a youtuber called kanadajin3 lol
she lives in japan and apparently that is EXACTLY how Japanese stores/companies etc "fire" their employees. they wont straight up come to you and say "oh hey you are fired" lol like they will simply cut your hours ridiculously until you leave. I hope you don't leave tho. keep getting them pressed AF.

I took my boss's place after they moved her down to a Pittsburgh store.

I hate my job. We're shorthanded and since im salary i work way more hours then i get paid for and im STILL getting bitched at by my district manager becuz my backup has 5 hours of overtime each week. Were still drastically under budget cuz i have no employees, but youre gonna bitch and would rather me stretch myself even thinner. Plus I just hate management. It was easier when i was my boss's backup. But being the store manager is ass and whoever wants it can take it.

The sad truth is, every single job you work in, someone above you will try to screw you over somehow. That's how corporations make money, by exploiting the people they are supposed to be supporting. Because of that my philosophy now is to never show any company loyalty. No matter how long I work for a bitch, I will always keep my ear to the ground for other/better job opportunities.

It used to be that if you could stay in one job for as long as possible, that was a good thing. But in today's world, I think you really need to keep your employers on their toes and let them know that they can't **** you around or you will leave their ass high and dry.
