I had teeth pulled before but not my wisdom teeth. I was nervous so when they put the novocaine thing over my nose I was taking really really deep breaths. The dentist said I should be a swimmer. They also numbed my mouth with something. I barely felt any pain as they pulled my teeth out. However afterwards when the numbing stuff was wearing off my lower lip was in so much pain (from the numbing stuff, not residual tooth-pulling pain).
It was unpleasant but okay. I wouldn't bother being nervous. It happens and it sucks and then it's over.

I currently have a bad tooth infection/abscess and my jaw is swelling, so I have to get one of my back molars pulled soon, I'm so nervous about it, it's my first dental issue ever The infection hurts like hell and I can't really eat so I guess anything will be better than my current state.
My friend had all his wisdom teeth pulled out on the same day I think and he survived, I don't think he suffered too much, I'd probably remember it more if he was too bad Just load up on painkillers

I was gonna get braces the summer before freshman year, and they suggested I get my wisdom teeth (which just barely started to sprout) pulled before the braces were put in so they won't later interfere with my treatment. I agreed!
Anyway, the operation itself was super fast. 30 minutes on the dot! I was asleep the whole time, I woke up feeling super wobbly and teary eyed. I was in bed all day, I recall feeling pain only when I tried opening my mouth. But the thing is, I couldn't open my mouth! Like it was downright impossible to even crack it open a quarter of an inch; when I would it would hurt like hell and blood would gush. Fortunately, I was biting down on these sponge like things to absorb everything the whole time. Eating was a killer. Yogurt pretty much the whole time. An water! After like the first few hours it was possible to open my mouth enough to have a gogurt on my own. It still hurt a lot though. And using a straw was honestly the worst pain ever!! But the next day I recovered pretty fast--the teeth were so so so so small that I didn't need much recovery time. I had stitches on my gums and the string was fun to play with but I got it removed a week after with no problems at all.
It was after that second day I could open my mouth with ease. Washing my mouth or using a straw still kinda hurt for a while though. Maybe after that first week was it better. But the blood itself did stop after the first day!
I was my doctor's second patient by the way, a fact I learned after he finished operating

Mine came out pretty easy. I got all 4 done at my dentist and was sedated so I was awake but don't remember anything that happened. It cost me $3 500 to do all four and my health insurance covered most of it

I had it done twice. I was so nervous the first time, but it went really well. As long as you follow the doctors directions it should go by quickly, for me at least that way it worked. On the sheet they gave me days before my surgery, they said Pineapple Juice would help, I guess the acidic in the Pineapple Juice is good for the teeth, so I drank several cups of Pineapple Juice the night before. When it came to after the sugery, it healed within about 4-5 days, so I think the Pineapple Juice helped somehow. A lot of putting hot compress and cold compress off and on, on my face to help the swelling go down. Stiches were ok, just had to be careful.

I got one wisdom tooth removed a couple of months ago (bottom left one), i was traumatized after reading stories on the internet...
But it went VERY smooth for me, i was eating whatever, drinking alcohol and smoking after 3 days. I still took lots of cautions tho.
If you need stitches i think it will be more complex (i didnt thank god).

It was pretty easy experience for me.
I was knocked out for most of the time, but woke up towards the end, but still very out of it and numb. I was hallucinating that my friends had shrunken down, and went into my mouth to fight off the evil dentist cutting my gums open and pulling my teeth out.
Besides that, pretty normal. I was able to eat solid food within like 48 hours, too.

No pain, but I could feel -- and hear -- the roots popping and cracking as my dentist pulled them out.
I had to take hydrocodone for the next few days and it made me really loopy.

So, I waltzed into the operating room, plopped down in the chair, had the IV placed in my arm, and I just looked around the room for a bit. The next I remember was seeing the ceiling and then darkness. I woke up and it seemed like it had only been a minute later. The surgeon showed me four big ass wisdom teeth in a bowl. He and his assistant helped me out of the chair and the anesthesia had begun to wear off. It felt like someone was tossing breaks at my head.
Every bump on the drive home was so painful. I was prescribed Vicodin, which helped me sleep and helped to lessen the pain. Applesauce was the only thing I was allowed to eat for the first couple of days. I had to gargle saltwater everyday to help the wounds heal and for the stitches to dissolve. The worst things about the whole ordeal was not being able to brush my teeth, spitting out blood, and the horrible taste of blood constantly being in my mouth.
I also almost choked to death on a ****ing hotdog at one point. That applesauce didn't hit the spot, but that's all I ate after I almost died.

They pulled all four of mine out. Anyway, my right aide is always sensitive. Face, teeth, etc. i was fine but then my right side started throbbing. I had took the painkillers they prescribed. Only needed it the once. I was good after like three-four days. A little sore still, tho. Nothing outrageous, tho. ^_^
You'll be fine. =}

I had all 4 of mine removed when I was 17 because if I didn't get them extracted I would need to wear my retainers full-time.
It was done under general anaesthesia which costed an arm and a leg but it was worth it because the only pain I had to deal with was the swelling afterwards. It went away after a weekend anyway

All four of mine grew and they are annoying as f*ck. My 2 bottom wisdom teeth were actually very bothersome these past 2 days, maybe I should make an appointment but idk how much I'm covered

I had all 4 removed with very little to no pain.
The one cruical piece of advice i can give is cold bandages
the ones with blue gel filling are the best
keep 2 in the freezer and keep one on the side of your face that you had surgery on for the first 12 hours, switching them every hour or so
that way you will avoid swelling and pain.
