Although you may be able to live a very normal life with a positive person, you would probably need to take medications to help keep you safe, and sadly it's possible that you may have to deal with the complications he would have (if he had them) over time.
I mean it's a big decision, can be life altering, and a big commitment, no one should feel bad for not wanting to take that on.
Not really, but I do think its time we change the stigma associated with positive people. I used to be 'if you have HIV stay away from me' but a lot has happened to change my perspective on the matter. Your lifestyle choices can lead to worse diseases, but we don't treat people with those diseases the way we treat people with HIV. We have a long way to go until we find a cure, but in the meantime I really do think the next frontier in the gay community is to change how we discuss HIV, and maybe it'll actually cause it to spread less. There are people so afraid of getting it they avoid getting tested and learning more about it.
