The longevity relies on the music itself, the peaks (again...) rely on promotions. NEW ROMANTICS has a huge potential based on its chart performances after its release.
Edit: And obviously, as a bonus track, NR's releasing strategy is a little bit different.
Edit2: I wrote about this before: as NEW music not on standard album, currently people who don't own deluxe, have no OTHER places (Edit3: another obvious way is purchasing the deluxe
) to enjoy this single yet, only iTune, radio...this might explain why they release NEW ROMANTICS in this way.
Edit4: The above are my understanding, maybe not right, but I tried...
Edit5: The release of MV might give the bonus track a last push, but it also means people have a new and better place to consume the single.
