Remixes are amazing when you're an artist who can contribute to them, appreciate and acknowledge their existence, and do remix albums (Gaga, Mariah, etc).
Remixes breathe new life into songs. Music is meant to be interpreted. Why would you want to hear the same thing two thousand times?
I've maybe heard two good remixes in my entire life (Fernando Garibay's remix of Fashion of His Love and The Weeknd's remix of Marry The Night). Not my fault they all SUCK.
