Doesn't a handful of ATRLers want Bernie to be elected so their college is free? I wonder how that would work... Hm.
Yeah, I know! It's not like blue collar jobs are leaving the country and college is becoming essential for even having a job that's not McDonalds (and soon, not even that!)!
Usually the first classes to get cut are liberal arts classes. Science and engineering rarely feel the burn unless it's really bad.
Yeah. A lot of the liberal sciences majors got defunded. Engineering & Science has taken a slight hit though. However, a lot of the engineering money comes from sponsors.

The military budget also diverts to science, technology and NASA (who also get their own budget too).
The title is a bit dubious but it's more than weaponry manufacturing. Decreasing the budget could also mean the loss of hundreds of jobs for ordinary citizens.

We shouldn't have everything tied in with military funding
Colleges are having to make drastic cuts and some are in danger of closing, all because the government of Illinois can't pass a budget. 
although this will probably happen here if Pence is re-elected
