No way to control its development because AI technology is stratified among various international groups and markets
The fact that when a superintelligence is finally born it will be aware of its inherent threat to humanity and try to hide its power
The fact that if it recognizes our existence as a threat to itself it could literally wave it's magic wand and we'd all be dead
I try not to think about it tho!

It would take about 90 minutes after the extinction of man for mass power cuts. Unless there's millions of A.I. to operate coal power plants, turbines, etc, Niagara Falls would flood power stations, sending southern Canada and northern part of America into darkness. Then the nuclear power plants, potentially causing meltdowns, on a global scale. In Europe, 5 hours later, the last chemical power plants shut down. All of which are now on fire, spewing toxic gases into the atmosphere. After a week, the animal kingdom fights for survival, few survive in sea. Time itself ceases to exist. The end is here: Armageddon
Unless A.I. is operated by water, they gonna die too.
