Fad Ocean was an even more temporary blip on the radar than Uggy. His album is trash and I'm glad that horrid trend of "ALTERNATIVE!!!11!!" R&B where artists were abusing their albums with boring, 7-minute long filler died once people chose Abel instead.
That's pretty much what the Weeknd was doing before he started doing Max Martin produced pop songs with Ariana
The fact that they have one more of those ready to go. Plus Gods of Egypt and that upcoming Power Rangers Movie. Lionsgate is so going bankrupt by the end of this decade.

Isn't The Weeknd alt R&B too? Idk. He is often grouped with people like Tinashe, Frank Ocean etc
That's probably the most overhyped album on Desperider's list. Kanye was better when he didn't buy into the idea of himself being some tortured genius and when his 'witty' lyrics didn't include a mention of Kim's sextape.

Listen to "House of Ballons".
I have listened to it. Such a snooze.
Abel is a great attempt of selling out done right. I'm sorry, but his 2012 material is so boring and samey. His FLAKE feature is his only worthy contribution from that time period.
A shame that he's pretty disliked amongst the black community while FuTURD has critical acclaim despite being one of the worst artists of the decade.

Though I will give 2012 Abel a thumbs up for outselling XtiN/A. Still laugh at her fans losing their **** about their fave getting outsold by someone they never even heard of.
