Lena Headey deserved an Emmy for season 2 and season 5. It's common knowledge.
And we had to wait season 4 for her to get a simple nomination which is tragic.
The Emmys are trash anyway when it comes to GOT, they only see a dwarf and that's it. "Oh a dwarf can act, wow. I didn't think it was possible, I thought they were only meant for circus, let's nominate him every year." (don't @ me, I love Peter, he's the best actor on the show). But nominating him every year since season 1 when other incredible actors get paid dust is nonsense. Best example is Michelle Fairley for season 2 and season 3, she was the best actress on both season.
Erm...it's more like they choose one person in the ensemble who's the S1 breakout, and then stick with that person.
Like how Uzo Aduba has 2 Sags and 2 Emmys while the rest of her cast is now struggling to get any nom.
Can I just be a massive noob and confirm one thing - I know the books are pretty much caught up to the series now, but are there any major storylines (such as deaths) that are yet to happen in the show? Only cause I wanna read all of everyone's spoiler tags in this thread, but just getting worried I may see something major.
Tbh I know most things anyway - I've read the first 3 books and have watched all of the series a couple of times over so yeah, just wanted to check
Apologies if this has been discussed before but if you guys could play any character in the show (not books), who would it be? I'd def be a Lannister; Cersei would be my ultimate 1st choice but unfortunately I've the wrong anatomy , besides her Jaime, Tywin or Tyrion in that order.

I'd want to play Joffrey because he's so horrible. I think that would be fun to play.
Cersei would be so hard to play because there are so many layers. She's a ruthless bitch that secretly cares and has empathy for many things - her land, her family, Jaime, and especially her children. She's cunning and manipulative but secretly arrogant and nowhere near as smart as she acts. I give Lena a lot of props, she could have played Cersei as stupidly evil but made her by far one of the most fascinating characters to watch.

Lady Olenna or Tywin Lannister all the way. Matriarch/patriach.
The way Olenna cut down Joffrey was so good. And it was even more epic in the books.
How would everyone rank episode 9 from each season?
For me:
3 > 5 > 2 > 1 > 4
Season 5's episode 9 will always have a special spot for me since it's obviously one of, if not, Dany's biggest episode so far. Season 3 will always be my favorite episode 9 and I don't think anything can top it. Season 4 has a great episode 9, but I'm just not a big fan of the Wall's storylines and I'm not as invested so that's why it's lowest.
In the Game of Thrones behind the scenes footage featured above, Prosthetic Designer Barrie Gower takes viewers on a tour of the make-up and special effects department behind the popular HBO original series, and examines the often arduous and time consuming process that it takes to bring the show’s White Walkers to life. Fans who salivated over season 5’s Battle of Hardhome will likely be pleased by what Gower has to offer here, as he takes a look at the painstaking attention to detail that each and every White Walker model is forced to endure (prior to the actor stepping foot on set to begin shooting their scenes).
I honestly hate how they draw Dany in the last season, she was acting like a maniac, killing innocent people, forcing a man to a marriage.
And not to say how her plot for the fighting pits completely changed from a mother rescuing her child to a damsel in distress.

that really annoyed me, I was so excited to see her finally kick some ass and whip her dragon into shape but it was more "ok we're screwed Imma jump on Drogon and hope for the best"

Blackwater from season 2 snatched me left and right.... the whole thing was amazing. It's a quintessential Game of Thrones episode. While the battle wasn't as great as say Hardhome or The Watchers on The Wall but it had a good combination of everything, drama, war, politics... plus it was written by George himself.
Season 4 might be my favorite overall but I really could care less for the battle at Castle Black... I also liked Season 5 but the only highlight was the dragons at the end which I guess is what everyone wanted from GOT since the dragons hatched.
Blackwater (2) >>> Baleor (1) >>>The Rains of Castemere (3) >>> Dance of Dragons (5) >>>The Watchers on The Wall (4)

I agree. She should have an emmy by now for her portrayal as Cersei. Especially this last season.
I think I would love to play Tywin Lannister. He's so smart, conniving, and a family man. But the only person to upstage him was Queen Arya.
