I mean it's normal for most debut singles to drop after their first week, but this is so weird for Ariana.
ME was like a perfect era to transition into a main pop girl, everything was perfect.
I just pray radio and promo will help push this back up, and she needs a sexy semi controversial video.
Maybe licking a donut at the end of the video will help

"Focus" (+the Donut gate) killed her chances to become an A-Level Pop Girl tbh

I don't think it has to do with her licking the donut tbh because only Americans cared about that and it's tanking even harder outside the US than it is in the US

Licking the donut was viewed by everyone not just people in the US.
I'm from Kuwait and everyone knows about the donut incident here.
She was voted 2nd most hated person after Bill Cosby because of that incident, of course it hurt her chances.
But time will heal, people are already forgetting about it and DW is doing 10x better than Focus

DW is actually doing much worse than Focus outside the US. In the US it's predicted to debut with similar numbers as Focus though

People need to remember 2 things

1) Dangerous Woman is not the type of song that will smash outside of the US, at least not right out of the gate.
2) Ariana only has one song that fully took off before the video release and that's Problem (which had promo and was radio candy). Wait until the DW video before worrying or even writing it off.

Focus had a video that gave her huge streaming advantage.
And it was her first lead single. DW isn't really considered a lead single since it came after 4 months from Focus whereas Focus came after like a year break (had much more anticipation).
