I'd like to think that we go to a much better place. I'd like to think that this life is just a waiting room of sorts, before we get to meet our creator and fulfill the real meaning of existence. I'd like to think that we get to see those who have passed once again.

In reality though, we probably just cease to exist. Whichever way you choose of course - cremation (burned to ashes) or burial (decompose).

So for me, after I die, I'll be ashes in a jar. They can scatter my ashes if they want. Doesn't matter either way.

You go to heaven or hell.

Never understood people that actually believe this.

Your body rots and becomes apart of the earth, giving life to new plants and creatures. The atoms that were once apart of you will eventually be apart of another person. In essence you remain apart of this Universe until it too ends.

What about the human soul?

what do you think happens when a bug gets stomped to death? it's still alive?

Phisically yes, but what about the consciousness?

your consciousness is in your brain. Once you die, your heart stops, meaning your brain stops working. No one has a soul. Nothing happens.

huh? Shouldn't it be the other way round? All the knowledge and science in the world indicates that we ultimately cease to exist, just like every other living thing on this planet. We aren't special. We are just an advanced form of Ape, which humans share a common ancestor with.

Although, I am Agnostic. I do believe in a God. However, I don't think that necessarily means that it's how we imagine God. God is a creator of sorts. However, I don't believe that there is an after-life. I don't believe there is a heaven and hell. I imagine that we are some form of entertainment for another alternate Universe of Gods, in which they play with our minds like we are merely some sort of Chest Board.

What happened before you were born?

Brain is just medium for you consiousness to funtion in this world. Doesn't mean it will cease to exist after your body dies.

The "soul" is just a concept, it doesn't really exist. Your consciousness is really just due to the firing of neurons in your brain, and once your brain is no longer receiving oxygen, that stops. Think about what it felt like before you were born. You can't because it's just nothing, and to me, that's what death would be like.

Yo'reu asking wrong question since we are prone to think that we always existed.

It's not concept since consiousness has nothing to do with neurons and electrical impulses.
