The performance is indeed awesome, but the girl sounds a bit flat on the studio version. And Adam is a stronger vocalist overall anyways. I really wouldn't mind if this was a solo song by him, since for me personally beside her writing it, she doesn't really add something to the song itself vocally.

I really would not have minded he would have announced a re-release, add 4 songs to the Deluxe Edition, shuffle the tracklist a little bit and have this song as (solo) opener. The track really feels as an album opener, more than single material. That doesn't mean the song isn't good, but it is also not a song that is crafted to hit airwaves.
