There is nothing that Selena has now, career wise, that she didn't had before dating Justin. By the way she was getting better movie roles before dating him. I acknowledge the relationship(not exactly him, that could be any high profile relationship) helped with celebrity status, probably it made some people look her up, but it didn't made they stay with her after.
