I didn't agree with
everything he said (most of it, but not all- The last part kinda caught me off guard), but I don't believe that some idiotic teens desperate for attention need to get blasted onto forums like these, every single time it happens, either. You're giving these teenagers the attention they crave if you ask me.
They're old enough to know right from wrong, and they need to face the consequences, I agree; but there comes a point in time where this stuff gets reported on media over and over again to the point where people become desensitized to it, and that becomes dangerous. Dragging and lashing people for filth is a good way to get people to realize what they're doing isn't cute, but it can only do so much to mitigate the problem.
I'm not saying that these issues should never ever be spoken about by the media again, but every little minor incident (IMHO this is a pretty damn minor incident if you ask me, especially when there are more pressing issues in the black community) needs to be sent to forums like these. It could have been handled by school officials in Michigan without the need for NEW YORK Daily News picking up on it.
Call me an 'ovethinker', Call me 'misguided', whatever but you are deeply mistaken if you think that 'I don't see it because I don't have to deal with it"
I don't feel like going back and forth either, so I'm ending it here.
