Lord the defcon 1 sized meltdown I would have if that were to ever happen to me. I bawled my eyes out randomly for weeks when we had to put my cat I'd had since my 7th birthday down a few years ago and that was with the peace of mind in knowing that he died in peace and was no longer sick and suffering in his old age.
But to lose a pet under circumstances like
that? Knowing that if they died, it was a horrible, scary and painful death or if they somehow miraculously survived, not knowing where they were and if they hurt, starving, suffering etc. whew God NO. I would have been a ****ing wreck if I were that man.
