Even if comments like the Van Gogh one are tremendous, I think that the main difference is that even if Gaga can came across as full of herself she, well at least for me, just seems a bit over enthustiastic about her music, and it's not a bad thing it's definitely more genuine.
Halsey is just someone who wants to be popular, but also feel the need to be the alt-girl, that's her problem, she tries too hard to build up this persona that is basically a parody of tumblr stereotypes and even musically it sounds like she just mashed up all the ''tumblr'' pop girls aesthetics and sounds, I feel a bit sorry for her, because you can see the struggle of being someone that she really isn't, it's almost like she is scared that someone would question her authenticity so she always brag about how fame sucks andhow being a celebrity is horrible, but yet she is doing everything to be noticed and that's because, I think, she knows exactly that she is not as ''alternative'' or ''quirky'' as she wishes to be, she is a mediocre popstar with obnoxious songs.
