I have one. Colds are not that much of an issue depending on the jewelry you wear. They're also incredibly easy to hide. People don't know I have one on unless I wear a clicker or a seamless ring.

True. I think it also depends on the size and where you're pierced. I'm pierced pretty high in my nose so the jewelry fits kinda snug and doesn't hang low or look too big. Which I personally perfer, but some people look gorgeous with big jewelry.
