And by your logic, if she performed at the AMAs three years in a row why wouldn't she perform at the GRAMMYs? A much bigger Award Show that her team would book as it'd be much better promo.

The same man who was responsible for banning these artists from performing at the Grammys was also the one who was banning artists from performing at the AMAs. Maybe this did happen in 2000, but even in the link you posted, there were complaints and he promised to change it, hence her performing at the AMAs three times after 2000.
Anyway, who cares what this asshole thinks? He clearly was just an asshole. Not letting King of Pop perform as well? Foh.
