There is no way Katy is a better vocalist. She is way more limited. Rihanna has a deeper, fuller voice and can belt better and has a stronger head voice too. I cannot imagine Katy singing something like the chorus of Love the Way You Lie (which is actually hard to sing on key, try to sing it without your voice cracking, it is hard) without butchering it every time.
Rihannas Work performance was not even bad. The choreo was cute. The only cringeworthy part was when her voice cracked during the mmhhmm part. That was funny. She sounded like she was drowning. My fave part was when the Consideration beat transition into Work.
