Welp, it should, the incredible best pop era of all-time, "Teenage Dream" era's singles were 69 consecutive weeks inside Top 10. I know that's a different record, but it should hold the record you mention, too

Thanks for the list. I wouldn't count rereleases bc Billboard doesn't count them (otherwise Katy would have the most #1s record). So Beiber is already #4 by that account.

Confessions had a fifth Top 10 single, "Caught Up" or something like that. It only reached #8, but that would add a few weeks to Usher's total.

Any chance Work having 10 weeks or more at #1??

I think it's perfectly appropriate to count them as one; The Fame Monster's primary chunk of sales was (probably) the combo deluxe version rather than just from the EP alone, which we know only counts for approximately a fourth of the TF+TFM sales in the US. The EP wasn't even released as a standalone CD in some regions. The promotion for the eras sort of blended together as well, and the Monster Ball tour was more a tour for both albums since the Fame Ball tour was comparatively very small.

For the purposes of chart records, I count them together for the above reasons; they represent one singular, cohesive segment of Gaga's career. I also count TD: TCC and GGGB: R in much the same way, because it really doesn't make all that much sense not to. I mean, people can get all technical - "Janet/Michael/Bruce/etc. didn't get to rerelease, you can't say they're the same thing!!!" - but I just dismiss that as being stubborn or stuffy.

Half the time, Billboard doesn't even know what they want. Before "Part of Me," according to some people, they counted all the Good Girl Gone Bad #1s together. When that one debuted, suddenly something changed because of Michael.

See, this would all be irrelevant had the Red era gone as I wanted way back in the day, as Taylor would have 8 top tens from that album and nobody else would matter.
