Sorry, I've been MIA. Just wanted to chill for the last two days and enjoy the holidays with the family and friends. Hope all of you enjoyed yours as well.
Now, the final set before I begin my top 20. This set is an interesting one - in fact, most of you have probably included these 5 in your worst list of the year. I'll save you the "OMG how could you put that in your list comment" right now. Maybe you think these are ******, but I don't. Enjoy and respect.
#25 "Bounce" by the Cab
Kicking off this year's prestigious final top 1/4 of the countdown is little-known band, the Cab. I actually don't have much on these guys, just the odd fact that 3 out of it's 4 members are named Alex. Pretty cool, heh? Bounce bounced around my Itunes for the first 3 months of the year, and I still occasionally play it here and there. Check it out.
#24 "You're A Jerk" by the New Boyz
Due to TRL's cancellation, I somehow wandered upon BET's 106 and Park, and it's been my dinnertime show since February. Songs like this are what make the show for me. "You're a Jerk" is soo ridiculous - ridiculous enough that it even spun its own wacky dance. The rhymes may be a little juvenille too, but what do you expect from 2 teenage boys? My response to all the female hatas at the club who called me a jerk this year..."I know."
#23 "You Found Me" by the Fray
The "Cable Car" and "How to Save a Life" band are far from my favorites - but this song is actually really really good, and I can't help but really get into every time I hear it in the car. Most songs don't last on my radio for more than a minute, but I seem to always give this one a chance.
#22 "I Can Transform Ya" by Chris Brown, Lil' Wayne, and Swizz Beats
Let's get the obvious out of the way - Chris Brown was a total douche at the start of this year. And nobody should condone the way he acted with girlfriend of the time Rihanna. But let's state the other obvious - the American public wouldn't accept his apology, which I actually felt was sincere. Maybe people like a sappy, dark album like "Rated R," but in terms of music, I'm sorry - Chris won hands down. I like a good club song, and I applaud Chris for trying something new out on this track.
#21 "One Time" by Justin Beiber
Get your laughs out. All I'm going to say is..."ME + U...IMMA TELL YOU ONE TIME."
And so another set ends. Get ready for a top 20 featuring a kid who once appeared on the Simple Life, an artist recently kicked off Lady Gaga's tour, and an appearance from a Cancun Real Worlder. Can you guess!?!?

This has to be the worst set so far. Having Justin Bieber and the New Boyz together is not what I expected from this great year-end list of yours. Hopefully, your top 20 will redeem itself!

Yeah, gotta be honest with you, Chris, but I don't like a single song from this set. I haven't heard The Cab, so maybe they are good, but the rest is pretty deplorable, imo.
That doesn't degrade the quality that has come before, and will come after. I know you have some good stuff coming up that I can't wait to see. Nail it!

Top 20 here we go!!!
#20 "Na Na Nana Na Na" by Jim Jones
And so the top 20 begins with one of my favorite rappers in the game, Mr. Jim Jones. Often at the center of rap controversy, Jones' rhymes often get overshadowed. But the hook to this song is so infectious, that when the girl in the video starts singing it, you can't stop going "Na Na Nana Na Na."
#19 "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha
ZOMGthissongispureawful. Exactly, my first thoughts when I heard it, along with - white trash, white trash. But the I'm-so-coked-out-appearance of Ke$ha (gotta love the dollar sign too) is what makes her such a gem. While most people thought it was Katy Perry who sang the hook of FloRida's "Right Round," it was actually this girl here who's head was going round. Intent to make it on her own though, she kept it hidden until she was able to make a name for herself - and she did, by 'tik tok'in all throughout October, Novemeber, and December. And PS, if anybody tries washing their teeth with a bottle of Jack, let me know how that goes.

Thank you for the comments everyone - much love to you all. Sorry if I've been lacking in commenting on your countdowns, but I promise to go on a tirade this afternoon.
#18 "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" by Pitbull
Unos..dos..tres - Spanish counting done even better than what U2 did with Vertigo. When it comes to lyrical content, "I Know You Want Me" may be nothing short of elementary. But what puts this song so high on my list is just the feel good nature to it. Summer 09 was a great time, and what made it even more enjoyable, was good music like this. Bueno! Bueno!
#17 "She Don't Want a Man" by Asher Roth feat./ Keri Hilson
Call Keri the new Ashanti. She worked magic on Timbaland's "The Way I Are" 2 years back, and while she wasn't busy with her solo career, she did it again for Asher this past spring. And on a bit of an odd note, Keri was also the featured artist on last year's #17...Nas's "Hero.
#16 "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon
Kings of Leon took over the rock world this year, and all I could say was finally. These guys have been putting out good music for awhile now, and I don't why it took this and "Sex on Fire" to make them the huge names they are, but kudos to them. Always like to see a good success story!
Top 15 starts tonight!!
