It's a tough decision. I think farming rice or wheat, or other commodities for export could provide better opportunities.

OT: Hillary owned the night. A little dodgy like a Kvitova 2nd set, but she pulled through.

You're gonna pay of $40k of debt with a $60k salary in ONE YEAR? Are you going to be living on less than $20k then?
And if anyone could make millions off the internet, why aren't A LOT more people doing it?

You act like this isn't possible I make that right now yearly and it's enough to afford my apartment, car, bills, food, with some left over to save and spend.

I'm not acting like it isn't possible. But when you have $60k there's no need to live on such a tight budget.

You are aware that coal is estimated to run out by the year 2088, right? That estimation is based on the fact that fossil fuels will run out by 2030-2050. Clean energy will not only keep the environment cleaner but create jobs AND extend the life time of coal, thus allowing coal workers more time to transition future generations into other jobs.

There are no viable clean alternatives. I okay with slowing down, but you need an alternative first.

Great night for Hillary. She exceeds well in Townhalls. Really liked her answer about taking on Trump.

You're both right. It'll be a tight budget, in the vein of "not spending $5 everyday on my favourite tea and bagel"
And not to mention that taxes in Canada are 13% on G&S.
@Marvin, hopefully in one year. However, things can change, and I can end up taking 14.5 years to pay off my debt with a $5000 total paid interest. But either way, I'm in no worry to pay my debt off, as there's such forgiving and generous repayment assistance from the government. One is there's a 5 years maximum of you not paying anything at all, and the federal government will pay the interest on your behalf.
And 2nd, you don't have to pay anything not until you're making $25,000 a year. But that doesn't apply to me.
3rd, you have a 6 months grace period from the last day of your full time classes to find a job before paying anything.

She doesn't book arenas or large venues, but smaller intimate ones with one-on-one engagements. You can tell that she's comfortable and use to dealing with engaging the audience in dialog instead of just delivering a speech and going to the next event. Well done, Hillary

This, she really excels in small settings

I'm all for Trump reducing corporate taxes Just he needs to shut his mouth on some emotionally enraging topics.

I'm terrified of Trump. He is literally like what the Bible and Nostradamus talk about the "the savior" that ends up being the son of a bitch who triggers the end of the world.
His mouth is just...
I'm voting dem this year for sure, I hope Hillary snatches that nom(which is likely), but if Bernie takes it somehow, I'll give him my vote.

I guess. He can be really scary. I'd be more scared of Cruz though.
But from tonight, I could see myself leaning towards Hillary for actually bringing specific details into arguments. Something that Donald and Bernie the communist failed to do.

I swear the people in here looking for a give out are the same people who cheat the system when it comes to food stamps and other government help. You guys don't care about anyone but yourselves. I'm all for doing my part and increasing taxes but the problem lies in the people abusing the system and receiving undeserved help. Before we start offering everything for free, our local and federal government needs to monitor those on aid first. Just like when you expense something from your job and need to provide receipts for purchases, people should be required to do the same. They should also be monitored at random for those "single parents" who are not married but actually live with their partner and trust me, there are many. You want money, sure, but the government has to make sure they are law abiding, not abusing the system and working to their full potential or looking for work.

Solar and wind energy (mostly solar) are very viable clean alternatives. The only reason the government isn't investing more in these is because of pressure from dirty energy sources like those in favor of nuclear energy, which is quite easily the dumbest of them all.
A massive grid of solar panels in the deserts would easily produce a cheap and easy source of energy, as many studies have shown.

 Stamp of my approval.
But you know a scary thing about solar energy? It only takes a fraction of USA's land area filled with solar panels to cover the ENTIRE nation's energy problems. Let me find that video on YouTube discussing this.

I know, it's terrifying. I did my thesis on solar energy for an environmental studies course my senior year of undergrad and it was very eye opening on just how simple the concept is of connecting all these solar panels to our current electrical grids and how little land it would actually required with most being on deserts and above buildings.
The only reason it's not readily available now is because of politics. There's this ridiculous idea that nuclear energy (thanks to lobbyists) is a better investment which is absurd. There's also the fact that profit would not be as significant as current sources.
Also, I can't remember the exact fraction of land needed in the Sahara, but a very small portion of unused land would be enough to power the entire continent of Europe.

What would cost more: expanding the safety net or expanding the government to police the safety net?
