"Bad Romance" is coming for that #1!!! Get 'em GaGa!!!

5th #1 in a row for Gaga. WOW. It's Mariah Carey all over again.

Here's to Ke$ha rising again after the freeze.

I really think TiK ToK deserved to be #1. But I don't see Bad Romance allowing it now.

I can't believe radio is gonna give Gaga a 5th #1....

If radio jumps on Telephone, if it's really the next single, she will probably be the one to tie Mariah for most Mainstream Top 40 #1s... I'm actually surprised radio is still playing her songs this crazy... I don't want to sound too hateful, but a burn out always (used to) happen with singers who have had very big first singles (Fergie "The Dutchess" era, Rihanna's "GGGB" era, Justin's "Futuresex/Lovesounds" era).... I wonder when her burn out will come (if it comes....)

By the way, Who else has 5 #1s on Mainstream Top 40, I know of Britney, Beyonce and Avril, any other??

"Telephone" is next, but IDK how it will fare. I'm expecting it to be a huge hit, at the same time there are things that could hold it back.

As for burning out, I would say truly Rihanna and Justin were the real burnouts since their final singles were pushed. "Finally" was canceled as a single practically a week after it was announced, including the video not being released. So she wouldn't really clarify as a burnout, because I'm positive had "Here I Come" or "All That I Got" had been released, she would've had another hit.

Well, it's not exactly only from her debut since 'Bad Romance' is already from the EP/re-release.

Mariah Carey had her first 10 singles being consecutive #1s on Pop radio until 'Without You' peaked at #2 in early 94.

^ But on the Mainstream Chart, Mariah only has 6....

Sadly, that song is amazing.
And "The Fame Monster" is counted as a totally new album.

Mariah's debut was before the current Top 40 chart was in place so on that technicality then GaGa was the first to get 4 debut #1s on the chart, any further #1s and she's just breaking her own record.

Oh and if you include all the previous airplay charts then from a debut album I think Mariah & GaGa jointly hold the record with 4 but GaGa may break it soon.

Not even hers, I think.
