Toronto is great but Mississauga is an urban sprawl disaster imo. Literally zero street life.

Detroit gets so much shade from people in other U.S. cities because of it's rough, physical condition in many parts, but it's nowhere close to the worst city in the U.S. It does have a somewhat post-apocalyptic feel in some parts, but it also has some really neat, historic neighborhoods that remain intact, some surprisingly nice suburban areas, and a pretty cool underground electronic music scene to boot.

Many smaller American towns that have little or no culture and are not particularly welcoming to people who are different in any way are far worse areas to live in than Detroit. Unfortunately, there are also a fair number of American cities that have a similar kind of decline as Detroit, but they are smaller metros so they fail to garner the same degree of negative attention.

Actually, the whole eastern Poland is frightening. It's kinda like Russia 2.0.

Łódź has been lately going through its renaissance. I believe they have already built the bypass road so the traffic part had been minimised. Lots of artists have been coming to live there lately and the city is getting more and more renovated (especially Piotrkowska). I also heard some businesses are moving there from Warsaw, cause it's cheaper obviously. I think it'll get back on its feet soon enough.
But yeah, it will take time to get rid of certain specimen that live there

Warsaw & Cracow are unlivable. You can't even breathe there without getting cancer. Gdańsk & Toruń>>>>

Newark is the pits too All the cities in Jersey are terrible. Trenton, Paterson, Newark, Atlantic City etc. The most acceptable parts of NJ are suburbs/rural country

Probably Canberra. It's the capital city of Australia so it's full of politicians and other highly-paid people.... but it's dead quiet, people drive everywhere.. there's just nothing to do.

Adelaide was also really boring when I went there. Never again.
