NO! People always forget the country format. Lady A had a really successful last two years on country. "Love Don't Live Here" #4, "Lookin' for a Good Time" #12, "I Run to You" #1, "Need You Now" #1, "American Honey" #60 and increasing. They're like country's equivalent of Lady GaGa right now.
I'm not really going to make any strong predictions as artists can come back years later and surprise us with second hits. Just look at Cascada! However, I just have a feeling it will be Kristinia DeBarge. Unless "Future Love" takes off after the holidays.
You can't say artists like Kevin Rudolf, 3OH!3, or David Guetta because they have had second hits already. They weren't huge, but they still made an impact on radio that many other wish to get. "Starstrukk" got to #25 on pop. That's halfway up the normal top 50. "Welcome to the World" also got to #25. "When Love Takes Over" got to #29. Still pretty good. Jay Sean definitely isn't one. "Do You Remember" currently sits at #12 on pop radio! Not to mention #7 on iTunes the last time I checked. You could say Owl City, but may I remind you "Vanilla Twilight" went top 80 on pop without even being announced as a single. If it does get released, which it probably will, I imagine big things for it too.
