I'm not sure about the movement thing but the China mainland doesn't ban if the film is processed in mainland to be honest. The government only banned the airing, didn't say anything about banning the filming though so there is hope.
And you're right, I'm sure they already shot some scenes for Season 2 (for example the kissing scene I posted in previous pages). It's really ridiculous if they throw everything away to start over, or they can make some fake background to film in Taiwan and it will cost more money. From this, I guess there's no way Johnny not join the season 2 because the time conflict or whatever reason. His current movies with Wi Zheng will finish within next month and he can join the season 2 in the end of May, perfect timing. Zhou is caught going with the author of the book because they're working new songs for season 2. How can Zhou Zhou not join the cast? Impossible.
