That's the way it is. If they can't be proven guilty, then there must be quite a high chance that they aren't guilty. That's usually why they are acquitted. Reasonable doubt is a saviour. Without it, the system would be in a worse position than it is now.

Bey has been championing women years before self-titled. I'm not sure how people got amnesia or had a problem with her being a womanist all of a sudden.

If they felt compelled to take to social media or speak after hearing Kesha's story, that's their business and has nothing to do with what the next person should or shouldn't do. And Bey having interest in women's issues doesn't obligate her to any and all situations involving a woman if she didn't feel personally compelled to do so. Bey could have easily posted a Kesha remark or some obvious sub addressing that situation and cash in on those imaginary feminist brownie points if she felt so inclined, but she didn't and that's her business.

No one with a life outside of Tumblr, Twitter, and ATRL expected her to say anything, seeing as they were probably more focused on the issue at hand and what they could do to spread awareness or help rather than scowling the next person.
