Am I making the right choice?

What's the best choice out of the music streaming services?
Apple Music
Spotify
Pandora
or other

Please give me some pros and cons from your experience.

I've used AM since it came out - personally I love it but Spotify is a LOT more popular and has greater playlist diversity.

However if you're a apple user (phones, macs, etc) you'll love how connected everything is. If you have more than one apple device i'd definitely recommend you go for AM.

Plus AM has certain artists that spotify doesn't - i.e taylor etc. And a lot of songs (such as Rih's new music) came straight to AM, whereas it took about a week to come to Spotify.

Maybe try AM free trial, then cancel and try a spotify trial and see which you prefer?

I couldn't find one reason to continue after my Apple Music free trial when Spotify is available. Apple Music is actually pretty good considering it being so new, but Spotify's interface and diversity >

Concerning Apple Music; I like the For You seaction . I did not continue using it because in my opinion 9,99€ is too expensive.

Yeah I'm trying to see if I even want to deal with playlists or just use it to preview new singles and my favorite songs.

I almost feel as though I want to get free trials for both at the same time to see which one I prefer.

Spotify remains on top, unphased.

Even as someone with an iPad and soon an iPhone I would still recommend Spotify over it. It's just better for everything.

Apple Music is still pretty clunky. Having used all the major streaming services at some point, I'd say Spotify is probably the best. Google Play is cute too, although I think they're usually a bit late on new releases and their library feels more limited overall

I kind of am well versed in music, though.

So do you think Apple musich might be for someone that is familiar with all types of music but for Spotify if you are interested in more diverse content.

Spotify is the best. The moods feature has so many incredible playlists. I've discovered so many new artists.

From what you've said you're pretty familiar with music so you'll just be looking at it purely from a 'using a streaming service to find what you know and enjoy' pov.

Therefore I'd make your decision based on 1. money - what you think you can afford more and 2. Which interface you prefer.

As I said if you're a heavy apple user I'd go for AM. But if you're either a non-apple user or don't care for integration and things (such as everything being in your music app on your iPhone) then you'd probably prefer Spotify.

I think you're right to choose one (you've said spotify) and then see how you feel about it and then try another to compare.

I would go with Apple Music. Spotify is going to have troubles soon if they don't start paying out more. Artists or labels could take their whole catalogs off. Or Spotify will be forced to charge all users 9.99 a month and stop the trials. I'm sure they are aware of how many users just create a new account for a new trial. Either way the streaming utopia that Spotify represents won't last forever.
