The new S7 in US has the SD820, which in Snapchat history never saw the code optimization. It has been abandoned from the get go. CEO of Snapchat himself -such a douche- confirmed they wouldn't care for the small portion of SD chipset owning Android users. Snapchat on S6 looks fine cuz that one uses Samsung in house built Exynos and Snapchat only codes for Exynos devices in their hq. Exynos Samsung devices make up more than 35% of the Android user base so it makes a lot of sense on a business level.

Edit: For the ones in UK, Canada, EU and basically the rest of the world, Exynos 8890 has just came out, its user base is so small right now Snapchat doesn't care at all. It will get its turn of attention in development once the sales go over a couple millions.

Snapchat is useless anyway... I don't understand the hype... maybe I'm getting older and technology is becoming less and less meh...

Because not everyone wants to own a God damn iPhone? They're not superior to any other phones. There's a market full of devices that suits the needs of individuals rather than following each other like sheep to look cool and trendy.

Some people honestly communicate through Snapchat, what's so funny about it? Quick selfie memos add a lot to human interactions. Even quick little videos are so much convenient cuz I have to do multiple things all the time, so my attention span is too short to make a video call.

the reason snaps look worse on android is because it doesnt actually take a picture. it takes a screenshot of camera preview and uses it. if your phone has a bigger resolution, it looks better. its nothing to do with android cameras or code optimization. snapchat devs are dumb and lazy
