She's from Sweden. English is taught there in school alongside Swedish. Her English is pretty poor compared to most pop girls from there, but she didn't finish school so it's understandable.

Also I don't care if she's published by Dr. Luke or whatever, as long as he doesn't have writer-production credits on the album (where most of his coins come from) I'm good.

If you're opposed to Dr. Luke making money off her, you should really care.
Publishers take the first cut off the gross royalties, usually between 10% to 40%, then the remainder is split amongst writers and producers. Dr. Luke wholly owns RX Songs so he makes more money as a publisher than he would as a producer or writer. That's why he signs the hottest writers and producers to RX Songs. They make him more money than if he produced the songs himself.

Plus her main labels are TEN Music Group and Epic Records, not Kemosabe.

Epic Records is A&R'd by RX Songs, which is Dr. Luke and his staff. The same team manage Kemosabe.
