I disagree with the second bolded statement. If they're truly hard working, then I don't see how would they need benefits anyhow. If they have partners, then the partner can work too and believe it or not, you shouldn't have children if you can't provide for them.

For one your clearly not educated on the Food Stamps laws , they have restricted people's use of them. In order to obtain a Food Stamp card/EBT card you have to have a low income/ and be pregnant/have children.

Receiving a food stamps isn't anything to be ashamed of some people aren't privileged like you or capable of finding a job quickly, How many people do you know immediately find work after being fired? And how do you know that there isn't a pregnant teenager out there who may need to use Food Stamps because she has no income/ no support

Neither it is my problem that someone can't find a job after 4 months. They don't have to work for the same pay they received before. I believe that humans are thinking beings and can provide for themselves or else we are facing an evolutionary degradation with people being dependent on the state for their own wellbeing. Benefits should be handed out only to those who need it for humanitarian reasons and they should just allow them to fulfill basic needs. And those who are able to work, well, they should. There's people who work but also need food assistance. Food is a basic essential it shouldn't be priced anyways in my opinion. People who LIVE off food assistance are the problem and if you knew anything you'd know that certain states have a restrictions on the use of EBT. As I said before, people do abuse the system, but there are people who work, that don't make enough money for all their needs. The minimum wage differs in each state, and it isn't enough to make a living. Some economic causes of poverty are low wages, cost of living, and involuntary unemployment. It isn't the individual's fault it's society's. A little sensitivity would be nice.

I don't disagree with the not having children if you can't provide for them, but **** happens. Someone could be fine financially one day, and broke as hell the next.
