Receiving money from the government discourages people from working to improve their lives, which is the way it should work. And not rich people being punished for being inventive and having a lot of responsibilities for the sake of... what exactly? I vehemently oppose benefits - or at least advocate leaving them for short periods, like up to 4-5 months in case someone lost their job, which happens in a capitalist economy. I also think it's okay for handicapped people to receive care from the state for humanitarian reasons.
And the rest? You better Work Bitch, like other people do.
I disagree with the second bolded statement. If they're truly hard working, then I don't see how would they need benefits anyhow. If they have partners, then the partner can work too and believe it or not, you shouldn't have children if you can't provide for them.

Oh. I didn't know food stamps were available in Europe tbh. I was talking about the U.S.
Eh, rich people are hardly punished. They're still rich, aren't they? They have money to spare.
As I said before, people do abuse the system, but there are people who work, that don't make enough money for all their needs. The minimum wage differs in each state, and it isn't enough to make a living. Some economic causes of poverty are low wages, cost of living, and involuntary unemployment. It isn't the individual's fault it's society's. A little sensitivity would be nice.
I don't disagree with the not having children if you can't provide for them, but **** happens. Someone could be fine financially one day, and broke as hell the next.
